Foreign intelligence agency took motherboard of Zahran Hashim’s mobile phone, says Dayasiri

A foreign intelligence agency took the motherboard of Easter Sunday suicide bomber Sahran Hashim’s mobile phone to their country, State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara claimed today (29).

He was responding to a question raised by a journalist about the progress of investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attack in 2019.

The State Minister said that the real question should be why the motherboard of Hashim’s mobile phone was taken away by a foreign intelligence agency and who gave the permission to them to carry out such an act.

“These are the real questions you should ask. But when we speak about these things, mudslinging campaigns against us are being formed. The motherboard is the most important part of a mobile phone. There are so many information in it. To discover the masterminds behind the attacks, it should be checked thoroughly,” he said.

Jayasekara also said that there is a conspiracy against former President Maithripala Sirisena to make him the culprit of the terror attack.
