Sri Lankan Wrestling team manager Donald Indrawansa left the team and gone missing during World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway with the money allocated for PCR tests of athletes, Daily Mirror reported.
Five athletes left Sri Lanka on 1 October to participate in the championship and they returned the country on Saturday (9) without the manager.
It is reported that Immigration and Emigration Department officials at the airport have found three passports in the manager’s luggage when the team left the country.
According to Sri Lanka Wrestling Association (SLWA) President Sarath Hewawitharana, 44 Sri Lankan wrestlers and officials who participated in various tournaments around the world vanished during those tournaments up to date.
