SJB MP Dr. Harsha de Silva alleged President Ranil Wickremesinghe has not tabled the Letter of Intent with regard to the IMF Extended Fund Facility (EFF) also he claimed he tabled three documents in Parliament.
He said the Letter of Intent which was signed by the Finance Minister and the Central Bank Governor was the most important document in the agreement with the IMF.
Without tabling it, there is no point to debate the IMF agreement, he said.
“The President has only tabled the open letter to Sri Lanka’s official bi-lateral creditors, special authorization under the Foreign Loan Act and the extended agreement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) which includes press release, staff report and statement by the executive director of Sri Lanka,” he said.
