Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa today (15) said that a programme has been planned to vaccinate all children above the age of 12.
Speaking during an event held at Southern Province COVID-19 Child Care Unit at the Hambantota Hospital, the PM said that a step-by-step programme has been planned to carry out the vaccination.
He said that children aged above 12 will be given the vaccine and priority will be given to those who have various complications.
The PM said that this paticular programme will be kicked off after the vaccination programme for teachers, principals and non-academic staff is concluded.
