Attorney General Sanjay Rajarathnam has requested the Chief Justice to appoint a Trial-at-Bar to hear the indicatments against 25 accused over Easter Sunday bombings in 2019.
The Indictments are comprising 23, 270 charges in connection with 8 attacks on Kochchikade St.Anthony’s church ,Katuwapitiya St.Sebastian’s Church, The Kingsbury Hotel, Shangri- la Colombo, Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Batticaloa Zion Church, Dehiwala Tropical Inn
The indictments are filed against 25 accused including Naufer Mowlawi, Sajid Mawlawi, Mohammed Milhan, Sadik Abdullah, Aadam Lebbe alias Gafoor mama, Mohammed Sansadeen and Mohammed Rizwan, under the PTA.
The indictments are included charges of conspiracy, preparation, aiding and abetting, collection of explosives and weapons, murder and attempted murder.
