Cabinet has given the approval to import 164 vehicles icluding ambulances, water bowsers and double cabs for essential services.
The proposal was submitted to the Cabinet by Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa.
Cabinet Spokesperson Dullas Alahapperuma said tha this proposal is not relevent to the previous proposal for importing luxury vehicles.
Accordingly, 50 Toyota Hiace ambulances, 52 Hino water bowsers, 62 Toyota Hilux Double Cabs will be imported.
