A large stock of Dhammika paniya bottles were buried today following revoking its temporary licence.
Dr. Dhammika Abeygunawardena, Commissioner of Ayurveda of the Department of Ayurveda recently said that the licence was revoked as clinical trials proved the syrup was not efficient to control COVID-19.
“We had given a temporary license to this medicine but it did not pass the clinical trials,” he said.
