The Taliban today (17) promised to protect free media in Afghanistan that does not goes against ‘Islamic values.’
Holding a press conference for the first time, Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid also said that the women in the media would be able to work as before in the Taliban rule.
When a female journalist asked whether the women in media could work like they used to be, Mujahid said that everyone must be able to work under their administration.
“We guarantee that all of the women’s rights would be protected within a framework of Islamic Law,” he noted.
