State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control Sudarshani Fernandopulle too joined the bandwagon of praising Basil Rajapaksa, saying fuel hike would not have happened if BR remained in Sri Lanka.
She has stated that the fuel hike has heaped the burden on the public and that BR always thinks about the plight of the general public and he would not have allowed the fuel prices to be increased.
“He is a leader who takes the side of the public,” she has stated.
Previously, State Minister Nimal Lansa too has commended Bail Rajapaksa.
Commenting on restrictions she said that even though travel restrictions are lifted at a particular time, public gatherings will not be allowed whatsoever until there is a considerable decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
“It would take some time to reap the harvest of the prevailing travel restrictions. Until then, restrictions will be in place. “Though the number of COVID-19 cases has slightly gone down, it will take another two or three weeks to witness a significant decrease the number of deaths,” she highlighted.
