SJB MP Diana Gamage today (8) said in Parliament that no one can expel her from the party and she will not dance according to the tune of the SJB.
“My husband and I established this party and we helped these people when they were in a helpless state. Now they want to expel me from the party saying that they are the owners of it. This is utterly shamelessness of them,” she said, speaking in Parliament.
I am not a puppet of them and they cannot make me dance according to their tune. I ask them not to behave like babies, Gamage said.
The SJB yesterday (7) announced that the party’s Working Committee decided to expel Gamage from the party as she voted in favor of the 20th Amendment to the Constitution despite the party’s collective decision to vote against it.
